High-Speed Robbery in Gwalior: Police Officer Dragged for Nearly One Kilometre

Gwalior, India: In a shocking incident, four robbers carried out an ATM robbery and targeted a police officer in Gwalior. The robbers attacked CSP Narendra Palia while he was withdrawing money from an ATM. It is reported that a bystander noticed his PIN, and the criminals quickly ambushed him. They snatched his ATM card and 10,000 rupees before making off in a car.

During the escape, a police constable tried to stop the robbers. In the chaos that followed, the attackers overpowered the constable and dragged him along the bonnet of the car for nearly one kilometre. CCTV footage later confirmed the dramatic incident, showing how the vehicle was driven at high speed before slowing at an intersection, giving the officer a chance to leap onto the bonnet.

Police have acted swiftly in this case. Two of the four robbers have been arrested, and the vehicle used in the crime has been seized. A manhunt is currently underway for the remaining three suspects.

Local police officials expressed their concern over the increasing boldness of criminals in the area and have promised strict action. The incident has also led the police administration to review and improve their surveillance and operational procedures to ensure the safety of both the public and law enforcement officers.
