Gwalior: There’s good news for people traveling between Gwalior and Bhopal! The Gwalior-Bhopal Intercity Express (12198/97) will now run every day of the week. Earlier, this train used to run only 5 days a week, which caused trouble for daily passengers. Thanks to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia’s efforts, the Railway Department has now approved daily service—especially as a gift during Navratri.
Locals Had Been Asking for This
People from Gwalior and Chambal region had been requesting that this train should run daily. Many locals even told this directly to Minister Scindia. He had promised to take the matter to the Railway Minister.
Scindia Wrote a Letter to the Railway Minister
Last year, Scindia wrote a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, explaining that the number of passengers is high and a daily train is needed. After reviewing this, the Railway Ministry accepted the request.
Scindia Shared the News on X (Twitter)
Minister Scindia posted the update on his social media account X (formerly Twitter) and thanked the Railway Minister. He said this change would help many people in the region.
Local People Are Happy
People from Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, and Ashoknagar are happy with this news. They said that now there will be better connectivity, and it will help in education, jobs, and business. Traveling to Bhopal will now be easier and faster.
In short, now you can travel between Gwalior and Bhopal any day of the week, all thanks to Scindia’s efforts and the Railway Ministry’s support.
