Major Fire Breaks Out in Gwalior, Two Firefighters Injured After Cylinder Blasts

Gwalior, April 10, 2025: A major fire broke out early this morning in a multi-story building in the Khaskibazar area under Janakganj police station. The fire started around 3:00 AM and quickly spread through the entire building, which also had a thread factory inside.

Local fire brigade teams rushed to the spot after receiving emergency calls. Due to the large size of the fire, help was also called in from the Indian Air Force fire team. While firefighters were working to control the blaze, five gas cylinders exploded one after another, creating panic in the area.

Two firefighters, Yogendra and Purushottam, were injured during the explosion and were taken to a nearby hospital. Thankfully, their condition is now stable.

The exact cause of the fire is not yet known, but officials believe it might have been caused by a short circuit. Nearby homes were evacuated for safety, and police have sealed off the area. A detailed investigation is going on to find out how the fire started and how much damage it caused.

Local people praised the quick action of the fire teams, saying that their timely efforts stopped the fire from causing even more damage. This incident has raised serious concerns about fire safety, especially in crowded areas where factories and homes are close together.

Officials have promised to fully investigate the matter and take proper steps to make sure such accidents don’t happen again.
